Three Years Full time Course

Objective:
MCA is a course exclusively designed to meet the IT requirements of IT Trained Students for various organizations. An extremely balanced course with lot of emphasis given on planning, designing & building of complex commercial application software & system software; with equal importance given to functional knowledge in various areas. A three year full time course MCA is not just a postgraduate course, but it is also a complete professional grooming of the students for successful career in IT Industry.
Admission Procedure :
A candidate desirous to seek admission to MCA in ASM's ICS Pimpri, Pune-18 must appear for the Common Entrance Test MAH-MC-CET conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State Government, or the Institute level Entrance Exam conducted by the Management Association of MCA Institutes (MAMI).
Eligibility :
A candidate who has either passed or those who are appearing at the final year examination of Bachelors Degree in any discipline (Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering or other) of a Statutory University in India. Also candidate must have a Mathematics subject for 100 marks for 10+2 course or any one year of graduation. Student must secure minimum 50% aggregate in their graduation (45% incase of Reserved category students).
Internship :
The student has to undergo a project (Industrial Training) in the 6th Semester of their course for a period of four months (December to March). The training would be exclusively for software development in either commercial application or systems. The project should be aimed at implementing all analysis, designing & programming tools that have been learnt in the course curriculum.
Job Opportunities :
The very fact that industries in India and abroad have been placing the MCA students on regular basis is a proof of the quality of course and the students.
a) MCA graduates begin their careers as junior programmers and grow at a very fast pace to become systems analysts and project leaders. Since the course is also design towards research side, students prefer to go higher studies. Others seek entrepreneurial roles like consultants etc.
b) Application areas include transaction processing (such as banking, stock exchange order processing) simulation, database management, e-commerce, design support & data communications, Networking, Embedded Technologies etc.
